A few months ago, I posted the before and after pictures of my sewing + craft space. It was a space that severely needed some organization. Since requesting my husband to create some built ins for my sewing space would take a little too much time right now, we turned to the next best place…Ikea. These white shelves are Ikea’s Hemnes bookcases in white.

Much to my (and my husband’s) surprise, my shelves remained a bit empty when we initially set up the space. As we expected, it did not take me long to fill the shelves, and in the process, I searched for a few fun and creative storage containers. Since everything was on display, I enjoyed looking a bit for practical yet decorative storage pieces.
My favorite piece…this turquoise bread box my sister bought me for Christmas.
Another fun storage container is using vintage pyrex. This green one from my grandmother houses all my thread. Check out Etsy to find your favorite color.
Amazon also carries these wire baskets in a few different finishes. I contemplated spray painting mine a fun color but left it brushed nickel for now.
Finally, these coffee, tea, + sugar canisters from The Freckled Hen Farmhouse are my new favorite. My husband surprised me with these after our third son was born almost a month ago. 🙂 This adorable online shop has lots of beautiful pieces for a home. (And their customer service is excellent…we learned this after an unfortunate mishap with a broken cake stand.)
I’ll leave you with a few more pieces from the lovely Anthropologie.
Good thing their kitchen ware is much less expensive than their clothing! 😉
