I have no regrets having a bit of Heather Ross’ 20th Anniversary Line sitting on my fabric shelves. (Her 20th Anniversary line is still available at Connecting Threads. It’s fairly picked over at most of the other places I commonly shop.)
Her whimsical pictures are so cheerful. The violet strawberries are my favorite, but the pink apples are a very close second.
I reserved quite a bit of this fabric for my own little Betsy girl, but the rest I made into three pillows for my shop.
They are all listed in my Etsy Shop.
The first pillow is made with utmost respect for this sweet red headed Rapunzel. Instead of cutting her to pieces, I left her in one big panel. You’ll find more of her on the back of the pillow too.
The second pillow is a two inch scrappy conglomeration of all my favorites. If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know I lend myself well to scrappiness. It’s irresistible.
Be sure to take note of those fussy cut princesses. 🙂
And finally my most recent favorite pillows…log cabin blocks. These are most fun for me to make right now. I’ve also enjoyed the grid quilting pattern.
Sometimes I feel like my quilting preferences are morphing, but then I find myself entrenched in my pinks, blues, yellows, and whites. They’re such easy colors for me, and obviously, I drift easily back to them.
Good thing I have plenty of this fabric left to pair with future lines from Heather Ross. My poor little Betsy will end up with so many quilts and pillows in her lifetime, she won’t know what to do with them all. (I’m not partial to making quilts for girls…I just really *really* like girly fabrics.) Can you blame me, though?
My three boys will be lucky to get one quilt each. 🙂
