“Her pleasure in the walk must arise from the exercise and the day, from the view of the last smiles of the year upon the tawny leaves and withered hedges, and from repeating to herself some few of the thousand poetical descriptions extant of autumn–that season of peculiar and inexhaustible influence on the mind of taste and tenderness–that season which has drawn from every poet worthy of being read some attempt at description, or some lines of feeling.”
― Jane Austen
Friends, since I don’t particularly enjoy winter, I don’t like to complain often about the hot & humid weather that comes with summer. Today, though, we have the windows open, and its a tad bit chilly in the house, and it’s WONDERFUL. Fresh air is a beautiful thing. 🙂
With the slowly changing weather comes the perfect opportunity to pull out some flannel fabric to start some sewing for fall.
One pillow for me, and one for the Etsy Shop. 🙂 I bought this flannel from Sew Stitching Happy on Etsy. This little shop had crazy fast service and adorable packaging. Plus, she has a perfect array of fun and modern fabrics. I’ve only shopped there once (so far), but I’d recommend checking them out.

Such a pretty pillow! One for you, one for your shop, seems like a good idea.
Hi Erika, thank you! 🙂
You have a sweet blog that I perused a bit with envy. 20 acres of homeland! Sounds like you live the perfect ‘Little House on the Prairie’ life. Beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by!
