Today is a breath of fresh air! A month or so ago, I had a number of custom orders I’d promised. Amidst finishing requests in a timely manner, I was also preparing for a small speaking engagement that was yesterday.
So today? My to-list feels completely checked off and there’s no more hanging burden about ‘how will the audience respond when I talk?’
I have finished a number of small projects lately, but I hope to get back to my larger projects now. My half square triangle quilt top is ALMOST done.
I finished two new pillows for my Etsy Shop!
I finished this one with some leftover blocks from my scrappy trip around the world quilt. That quilt is NOT finished yet, but finishing this pillow inspired me to pick it up again. I love the colors!
This pillow sold almost immediately! I loved using a vintage sheet on the back. I was saving this vintage sheet to use on the back of my trip around the world quilt, but since it was a twin fitted sheet, it was too small for the back of a quilt. 🙁
Perfect for the back of this pillow I’d say. (My husband, on the other hand, did not approve of my choice of backing.) I’m not sure his opinion counts though.
If you like similar colors, I also listed this one.
I resized the pattern a bit, but Megan Collins inspired this pillow. She also has a free download of this pattern on Craftsy. Check it out if you enjoy paper piecing!
The back of this pillow is one of my favorites … Architextures by Carolyn Friedlander.
This pillow is still available in my shop!
You may have seen the compass block pillows I made a few weeks ago. I was so happy with the way they turned out! One of those pillows I made with map fabric in the background. I also made this pillow to coordinate with that one.
I’m still early to the hand quilting trade, but I’m loving it. I quilted this pillow with Valdani Pearl black thread in size 8. It was so peaceful to sit and quilt the front and back of this pillow.
I finished this pillow with, once again, my favorite zippers.
Check, check, check. All my pillows in progress are done! And now back to my quilts in progress. 🙂
