When I saw the new Heirloom lines coming out for pre-order, I bought both sets. (There is a new wovens Heirloom and an Heirloom line that appears to be a second set of Warp & Weft fabrics.) They’re my next batches coming for pillows for my shop.
They are lines by Alexia Marcelle Abegg for Ruby Star Society. The textures and the designs caught my eye, and then I saw them paired with her more recent line called Golden Hour. This line is already out and available in stores.
Since the modern quilting movement is so huge now, there are always new lines and new fabrics coming out, but that also means turnover is fast. Lines come and go so fast that fabrics disappear off shelves. Once they’re gone, you can’t always find them again.
When I saw her Golden Hour line paired with the Heirloom line, I figured I should get it purchased before it’s gone from stores.
It’s a beauty, friends. It’s a bit outside of my small box of colors, but I think it will be a fun addition to my quilting journey.
At the rate I sew these days, these will likely be in a batch of pillow ready by fall!
